Organized by Virtual Ediciones, yesterday Silo’s lecture given at the Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow on 18 June 1992 was presented through a video on “The Crisis of Civilization and Humanism”, contextualized by José Gabriel Feres and Gonzalo García-Huidobro.
The International Social Sciences Book Fair is taking place at the Zócalo de la Municipalidad de Recoleta in Santiago de Chile until Sunday 14 April. More than 70 publishers are taking part in this major event of critical thinking, which will be attended by prominent figures from the world of culture and social sciences.
Guests included Darío Sztanjnszajber, Rita Segato, Harold Mayne-Nicholls, José Maza, Soledad Barruti, Inna Anifogenoveva, Gabriel Salazar, Diamela Eltit, Raúl Zurita, Hernán Rivera Letelier, Pablo Simonetti and the Japanese writer and filmmaker Jun Fujita Hirose, among others.
At the Virtual Ediciones stand, the paper copy of Silo’s lecture at the Zócalo was distributed to the audience yesterday.
