Karim expressed concern that, under the pretext of security measures, the Pakistani government has been closing educational institutions in Balochistan, including The University of Balochistan, Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s University, and the University of Turbat. This action, according to Karim, is part of a broader, deliberate strategy aimed at restricting Baloch access to education and further isolating them from opportunities for progress and empowerment.
“The closure of educational institutions in Balochistan, including The University of Balochistan, Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s University, and the University of Turbat, is a calculated effort to prevent Baloch youth from obtaining education, which is essential for their future,” stated Aomar Karim. “This isn’t just an attack on education; it’s an attempt to suppress the future of the Baloch people.”
