Release Dr Deen Mohammad Baloch

Dr. Deen Mohammad Baloch was forcibly abducted by the Pakistani military from Ornach Khuzdar on 28 June 2009, and his whereabouts are still unknown.

His daughters, Sammi Deen and Mehlab Deen, have been struggling for their father for 14 years.

Today marks the completion of 14 years since Dr. Deen Mohammad’s enforced disappearance.

His daughter Sammi Deen, who is the General Secretary of VBMP (a human rights organization in Balochistan), marched thousands of kilometers from Quetta to Islamabad, demanding the safe release of her father and other missing persons.

This abduction not only affected their father but also inflicted long-term and endless pain on the entire family, which cannot be expressed in words or measured in any way, only felt and understood.

Amnesty International has also appealed for the urgent safe release of Dr. Deen Mohammad Baloch, but he remains missing.

We urge the UN, Human Rights Watch, and Amnesty International to be the voice for the missing Baloch persons, to actively play their vital role in securing the release of the missing individuals, and to exert pressure on Pakistan to cease human rights violations.

Furthermore, we request their respective organizations to send fact-finding missions to Balochistan in order to investigate the situation of the missing Baloch persons.
