The horrors of the war in Gaza have exceeded all limits and the main victims are the innocent civilian populations, Israelis and Palestinians. Over 1,400 Israelis and 5,000 Palestinians have died and thousands more are injured or missing.
Let us know that negotiations are underway for humanitarian action, announced by various mediators and by the parties involved for the release of prisoners of war.
Let’s say no more deaths!
– Immediate ceasefire and respect for human rights.
– We are particularly keen to make a heartfelt and sincere appeal to the leaders of Hamas and of the Islamic Jihad for the immediate and unconditional release of all civilian prisoners in their hands.

We invite the entire Arab and Muslim community and all Arab and Muslim intellectuals in Italy to affirm the superior value of human life and relaunch a common appeal for a ceasefire, the release of civilian prisoners, and the opening of a true process leading to a just peace, to the two-state solution.
There is no peace without justice!
