April 14, 2025. People from all ages and walks of life are celebrating Pahela Baishakh with great enthusiasm in Dhaka city and elsewhere today.
Dressed in traditional red and white, crowds have descended at Dhaka University and surrounding areas, enjoying colourful processions, delicious local foods, and folk music. The DU campus is filled with handcrafted items, rides, and cultural performances. Families and friends have come together, creating a joyful atmosphere that reflects the spirit of unity, hope, and new beginnings on the Bengali New Year.
Happy New Year 1432 in the hope of a fascism-free and corruption-free Bangladesh.
