Guwahati: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Swayamsevaks and the Sangh-inspired organizations support the victim women of Sandeshkhali (West Bengal) in their movement for justice. During a press briefing at Nagpur (Maharashtra) on Sunday, RSS Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale also mentioned the recent meeting of Sandeshkhali women representatives with the President of India demanding stringent punishment for the perpetrators,
Addressing the media on the occasion of Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha of the largest socio-cultural organization on March 15, 16, and 17, 2024, Hosabale also added that there are still a few incidences of social discrimination and untouchability observed in Indian society. Their impact is quite less among the urban areas, but there should not be any discrimination related to lakes, wells, temples, and crematoriums in the society, asserted Hosabale, who was unanimously re-elected as Sarkaryavah for the next three years.
On the wide usage of the term minority, Hosabale clarified that the Sangh opposes the minoritism in politics. Right from the second Sar Sanghchalak, all the Sar Sanghchalaks had worked towards coordination with the Muslims and Christians. He also mentioned recent disturbances in Manipur as painful. RSS is working in both of the communities involved, Meities and Kukis, revealed Hosabale, adding that the Sangh has tried to normalize the situation by talking to the leaders of both communities and it turned fruitful.
“Samajik Samrasata (social harmony) is not a strategy, but an article of faith. Samajik Parivartan (social transformation) will be realized after bringing the Sajjan Shakti (the power of good) together and their collective efforts. RSS has pledged to join the whole society and move forward towards Samajik Parivartan (social transformation),” commented Hosabale, adding that the active participation of the Bharatiya society has been widely experienced by all due to the historic occasion of Ramlalla Pran Pratishtha at Ajodhya (Uttar Pradesh).
RSS has emerged as a nationalist movement now, opined Hosabale. While replying to a question, Hosabale stated that the election is a big festival of democracy. It is essential to strengthen the nation’s democracy, and unity and maintain the pace of progress. RSS Swayamsevaks will spread awareness for percent polling. Society should be vigilant, that there are no aspects of enmity, separatism, and divisive attempts and anything that goes against unity.
The organization plans daily Shakhas and Saptahik Milan to achieve the objectives of Poorn Nagar, Poorn Mandal, and Poorn Khand by Vijayadashmai 2025, when the organization will complete its hundred years of existence. Hosabale observed that the impact of RSS functioning is visible in society. There is a sense of being blessed and gratitude for the society’s affinity towards the Sangh. He pointed out that the key issues like environmental protection and Samajik samarasata (social harmony) were for the entire society and not just for any single organization.
