Manila, Philippines — On April 24, 2025, a powerful convergence of environmental advocates, civil society groups, and senatorial aspirants took place in Tindig Kalikasan: A Town Hall Forum on the Environmental Agenda for the 2025 Midterm Elections, at the Pardo Hall, Henry Sy Sr. Building, De La Salle University Manila, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 NN.
Organized by Caritas Philippines, Philippine Misereor Partnership Inc., 2030 Youth Force in the Philippines, Sustainability Hub-Manila, CONIC, LJPC, and Alyansa Tigil Mina, the forum sought to bring environmental issues front and center in the national electoral conversation. With the Philippines facing increasing climate disasters, environmental degradation, and threats to defenders of nature, the event aimed to elevate the urgent need for sustainable and rights-based environmental legislation.
The forum featured a dynamic mix of fast talk questions and direct policy discussions, giving candidates the opportunity to lay down their platforms on key issues such as:

Just and Sustainable Development
Senatoriables and party-list representatives engaged with stakeholders, listened to grassroots concerns, and outlined their commitments to environmental justice.
